The release of iOS 13 on September 19th will bring some changes for your Bear. In order to fully support iOS 13 and the new features it boasts (here’s looking at you dark mode), we’ve had to discontinue our support of iOS 10.
As always, building newer and better versions of TunnelBear means compatibility issues with older versions can occur. It becomes a balancing act between keeping TunnelBear current with access to great features, and fixing bugs that arise from older versions of the OS. If we choose the latter, it may take away from our ability to continuously improve TunnelBear as a whole.
If you’re running TunnelBear with iOS 10 currently, the TunnelBear app will continue to function for you, but you will not be able to update it past September 19th. Our friendly Support Bears will do their best to resolve any issues you have with the app, but we will not be able to push further updates to your device.
Of course, the best solution would be to update your device to at least iOS 11 to ensure that you’re still able to use TunnelBear to the fullest extent. Check out Apple’s handy guide for updating your iOS here.
