There are a few scenarios that might cause the (-1009) The internet connection appears to be offline error you're seeing.
(-1009) Error on Windows
Network censorship:
The network you are using may be blocking the connection. Try switching to another network and see if the issue persists.
Firewall restriction:
Make sure that TunnelBear is allowed through your firewall. You can also temporarily disable your firewall and see if you're able to get logged in.
Third party software:
It's possible that some third party security software might interfere with your Bear. I recommend that you disable any security software on your computer (anti-virus, VPN, proxy, firewall, etc.) and see if you're able to get logged in.
